Joseph S. Saladino (born February 4, 1962) is the Assembly member for the 9th District of the New York Assembly. He is a Republican. The district includes portions of Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island, including Massapequa, West Babylon, Babylon, West Islip and West Bay Shore. ==Life and career== Saladino is a lifetime resident of Massapequa. He graduated from Massapequa High School in 1979.〔 〕 He completed his bachelor's degree and master's degree at the New York Institute of Technology. Saladino worked as a news anchor and broadcaster on Long Island, at radio stations WNYG and WALK, and television stations WLIW and News 12. He then became Executive Assistant for the Town of Hempstead. Before his election to the Assembly he was Director of Operations for the Town of Oyster Bay. His father is Joseph J.
